The Fondation Jean Lapointe invite you to join us on November 15th from 11 a.m to 2 p.m at the PAS PERDUS room at Gare Windsor of Montréal.

The Fondation Jean Lapointe is doing an incredible job preventing addictions for more than 80,000 teenagers a year! It is imperative that they continue their efforts to ensure that all teenagers benefit from their prevention program.

The Grand Festin d’huîtres is a business event not to be missed! 750 influential people will reunite to raise $ 550,000 net that will be invested to prevent the risks associated with alcohol, cannabis and other drug use.

Moreover we set the bar high this year by offering you an unprecedented fight which will oppose our Honorary President to professional wrestlers in a match Mexican style. You don’t want to miss it!

Managing and supporting employees with caregiving responsibilities

Our research team at TELUQ, University of Quebec, is conducting a research project on work and care. We are seeking to grasp the experience of managers, or other professionals, dealing with employees who have to combine their job with caring for a dependent outside of work. We know that the uncertainties and events associated with caring for a sick, disabled or elderly relative are likely to trigger difficulties in remaining employed for caregivers. Within organizations, the consequences of caregiving manifest themselves through employee exhaustion, or a disturbance in their usual performance. However, there are solutions to this issue (e.g. caregiver leaves, flexible work arrangements). Therefore, the goal of this research project is to understand how employees with caregiving responsibilities are being supported in Quebec workplaces, from the point of view of their managers or any person occupying a position associated with the management of staff in their organization. If you have ever dealt with employees with caregiving responsibilities, either through direct supervision or indirectly through the elaboration/monitoring of various organizational policies, we invite you to answer a confidential survey on this subject, which should take about 25- 30 min. If you are unsure of your current ability to answer questions related to this subject, we encourage you to still take this survey and fill the answers to the best of your knowledge. By doing so, you will be able to acquire important information and finish the survey with an increased awareness of the issue of work and caregiving. Your participation will contribute to helping our researchers better understand the issues related to the management and support of employees with heavy family duties in Quebec, and elaborate appropriate solutions for it.

To participate in the survey, please click on the link below or copy-paste it in your web browser:

Become a stay-in-school ambassador!

Every year for the past 25 years, the program Opération Bonne Mine has been rewarding young people from underprivileged areas by offering them stay-in-school scholarships to recognize their commitment to and efforts at school. The scholarships are awarded at an exclusive gala taking place this year at the Montreal Science Centre.

This year, the program goal is to recognize the efforts of 50 students by awarding 25 scholarships of $250 to primary school students and 25 scholarships of $500 to high school students.

How you can help
1- Fund a stay-in-school scholarship: Recognize the work of students who are staying in school and make a difference in their lives. (A tax receipt will be provided.)

2- Share this great initiative with your network: The fight against early school leaving is everyone’s business. Help us develop a support network for future generations.

For a better idea of the program and the gala, watch the video!

Help us reach our goal!

I will fund a scholarship!
