Sustainable mobility measures to improve employee commutes

Montreal is the 4th most congested city in Canada, with its residents taking over 2.5 million trips each morning. This congestion has an enormous cost for society to the tune of an estimated $1.8 billion. [1]

See images of solutions that will help companies improve employee well-being, reduce absenteeism, improve recruitment and retention, and foster employee motivation and productivity:

  • Public transit (e.g., OPUS reduced fare)
  • Active transportation (e.g., showers, lockers, BIXI subscription)
  • Carpooling (e.g., reserved parking, rideshare apps)
  • Business travel (e.g., corporate car sharing memberships)

With its “Employers take action for sustainable mobility” project, the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal is encouraging companies to introduce measures that reduce solo car use for getting to and from work.
