The UN in a nutshell

The UN's procurement market constitutes a true economic opportunity for Québec businesses.

According to the latest statistics, the calls for tender issued by the United Nations ecosystem totalled US$18.8 billion in 2018. These calls for tender are equally split between goods and services.  

The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) in NYC is in charge of procurement for the United Nations Headquarters, peacekeeping operations, and regional courts and commissions. The UNPD manages 3,000 to 4,000 calls for tender a year.

The United Nations Procurement Division procures almost 3 billion dollars worth of goods and services, some of which include:

Meeting with United Nations buyers in brief

Join us on September 30 for a virtual meeting with two United Nations (UN) buyers who want to speak with Québec companies and find new suppliers.

Following a presentation of their departments and their needs, you will have the opportunity to discuss with these buyers at virtual fair with a maximum of 10 participants by registering today for the meeting groups.

The special format of this activity will allow you to:

  • Better understand the role of buyers in the United Nations and the supplier registration process
  • Meet exclusively with UN decision-makers
