Looking ahead: The future of aerospace and defence
On the occasion of his first public address since taking office as President and CEO of Airbus Canada, Guillaume Chevasson will share his strategic vision for the future of aerospace and defence amid significant industrial and geopolitical transformations.
Rooted in Montréal at the heart of Canada’s aerospace ecosystem
For over 40 years, Airbus has played a key role in Canada’s industrial landscape through its growing presence in commercial aviation, helicopters, defence, and space sectors. With more than 5,000 employees across around ten sites and offices nationwide, including over 4,600 in Quebec, Airbus has established itself as a cornerstone of Canada’s aerospace ecosystem. The A220 program headquarters in Mirabel fully embodies this lasting presence and reflects Airbus’s commitment to the economic vitality of both the city and the province.
Shaping the future of Canadian defence
In a rapidly changing geopolitical and economic context, defence is a major strategic priority for Canada. Leveraging its globally and locally recognized expertise, Airbus positions itself as a natural and credible partner to support Canada’s industrial strategy in defence and security.
This conference will be an opportunity to explore:
- Airbus’s vision for defence and security;
- Its growth potential in Quebec and future projects;
- How Airbus can help strengthen Montréal’s position as a leading hub in the defence value chain, leveraging innovation, talent, and collaboration with local stakeholders.
Through this meeting, participants will be invited to gain a deeper understanding of the path Airbus intends to pursue, driven by the momentum of new leadership, to support Canada’s industrial competitiveness, resilience, and prominence.
