Join us on Wednesday, November 16 at 11:30 a.m. for a talk by Patricia Gauthier, President and General Manager of Moderna Canada.
Few companies have played as important a role as Moderna during the pandemic. This biotech company, founded less than 15 years ago, gained worldwide recognition when it developed a messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine to fight COVID-19. Since then, Moderna has continued to innovate with the development of bivalent vaccine candidates, which can target multiple viral strains simultaneously to address the ongoing evolution of the virus.
Canada is a key market for Moderna. The company has announced a 10-year strategic partnership with the Government of Canada to establish an mRNA vaccine manufacturing facility in the Greater Montréal area.
During her talk, Patricia will explain how Moderna chose Greater Montréal and how the new plant, scheduled to be built between 2022 and 2024 in Laval's biotechnology park, will help Canada be better prepared for the next pandemic.
Wednesday, November 16, an event you won't want to miss!
