Most people would say that gender equity in business is making good progress.

But is that really the case?

While the number of women entrepreneurs is growing, only 16% 1 of businesses in Canada are majority owned by women.

Why is it that of all purchases made by large companies, less than 5% 2 of contracts are awarded to women-owned businesses?

For this event, Anne-Marie Hubert, EY’s Managing Partner for Eastern Canada, will moderate a high-calibre panel discussion. The guests, who are pioneers in this field, will discuss the economic benefits of diversifying their suppliers, in order to encourage participants to do business with more women, and the strategies used to achieve this.
