The economic mission to Hannover Messe in Germany organized by the Chamber, ended April 5. After spending a week with global leaders in manufacturing, the Quebec delegation came home inspired and better equipped to tackle the digital transition.
Quebec well represented in Germany
Organized by the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI) and the Québec Government Office in Munich, in partnership with Investissement Québec and the Chamber, the economic mission was a success.
“To support Quebec companies in their digital transformation, Quebec needs to stay in step with major global trends. The Hannover trade fair is the perfect place to acquire industrial expertise and learn everything there is to know about Industry 4.0. It has become a key event for Quebec organizations.”
The Quebec delegation was one of the largest at the trade fair. It had over 130 participants from close to 80 companies and organizations from Quebec’s ten regions. One of the objectives of the economic mission was to facilitate business opportunities and partnerships between companies and their international ecosystem.

The time for action
Companies are migrating to new manufacturing processes based on digital technology and artificial intelligence. The Montréal business community is mobilized to support and facilitate this transition.

The economic mission was also a great opportunity for participants to draw inspiration from best practices observed in Germany and to establish strategic partnerships.”
