Public safety is a major issue for any large metropolis, and Montréal is no exception. Workers’ sense of insecurity, quality of life in the downtown area, and safety in public transportation are growing concerns for the business community. In response to this reality, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) is taking a proactive approach to strengthen trust and ensure a safe environment for all.

On Wednesday, March 19, Fady Dagher, Director of the SPVM, will discuss the initiatives being implemented to enhance urban security and explain how collaboration with businesses plays a crucial role in preventing and combating various forms of crime.

Agenda:

  • Growing concerns about security and SPVM actions: Concrete measures to enhance the safety of workers, citizens, and public transit users.
  • Addressing homelessness and supporting vulnerable populations: How the SPVM is working with the business community to develop sustainable solutions.
  • The role of businesses in crime prevention: Private sector engagement in improving urban security.
  • New trends in cybercrime: Emerging threats and measures implemented by the SPVM to protect businesses and their data.

Why attend?

  • To learn about the actions and strategies implemented by the SPVM.
  • To understand the security challenges affecting your business and employees.
  • To identify how the business community can contribute to a safer downtown.
  • To access practical recommendations to protect against cybercrime.
