Small Business Week: essential for Quebec entrepreneurs
Montréal, October 15, 2009 The third edition of Small Business Week is taking place from October 19 to 23, 2009. Organized by Info entrepreneurs a service delivered by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and financed by Canada Economic Development , Small Business Week will be the opportunity for entrepreneurs to take part in 16 sessions on the different aspects of entrepreneurship and a day of express meetings on business financing.
Small Business Week is an annual event that draws over 100 participants to attend activities organized for existing and budding entrepreneurs. Our team of experts from Info entrepreneurs has put together a complete training program this year to provide a targeted response to the needs of Quebec SMEs: financing, innovation, growth, international trade and advice. It's also a great opportunity for networking among entrepreneurs, who often face the same challenges, said Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.
In a period of economic crisis such as the one we are facing, creating a business can be promising. But from a good idea to starting up a company, there is a series of steps that entrepreneurs must go through to create a solid anchor in the business world and then to be successful and achieve the growth they want. Info entrepreneurs is an essential resource for guiding and supporting entrepreneurs through these crucial steps, added Mr. Leblanc.
The activities we are organizing for Small Business Week reinforce the services offered annually by Info entrepreneurs, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Whether by phone, in person or via the Web, our team of experts offers information, research and consulting services to people who are starting up a business or who want to grow their business here or abroad. Over the last year alone, our team responded to over 20,000 requests from entrepreneurs, and our Website received over 520,000 visits from people looking for business information, concluded Mr. Leblanc.
