This Sunday we are celebrating World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate the Chamber’s firm commitment to an open, welcoming society.
Diversity is a fundamental feature of Montréal. It is also characteristic of the business community that makes Greater Montréal the exciting place it is. We are proud to work with businesses that, like us, celebrate and encourage difference.
Promoting diversity and inclusion means opening up to new ideas and possibilities. It also means making it easier for new immigrants to get their first job in Québec. This is a decisive step in their integration and offers them fulfillment in their adopted society. Society reaps tremendous human and social benefit from diversity and inclusion.
