Natural resources

Projects, challenges and business opportunities

Events The speech will be presented mainly in French.

Several major projects touching on natural resources have received attention over this past year. Among them, the re-launched Plan Nord, announced last spring, will allow for government investments of close to 2 billion dollars by 2020. These amounts will generate many business opportunities for Montréal companies, notably as far as the sustainable development and use of our resources is concerned. Be it in the mining or energy sector, or in the field of research and innovation, Quebec can function as a centre of excellence in which Montréal will occupy an important position. With the development potential so high, will Montréal companies be able to take advantage of this collective wealth?

By taking part in the Natural Resources Forum, you will:

  • explore various aspects of several announced and upcoming projects
  • learn about the multiple business opportunities Northern development can offer the city
  • meet key players from the Quebec natural resources sector and develop new business relationships
