The “Win $1,000 in Credit Towards Activities in the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal’s 2015-2016 Season” Contest (the “Contest”) is organized by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal (the “Board of Trade”). It runs from August 31, 2015 to September 15, 2015 at midnight, Eastern Daylight Time (12:00 am, EDT) (the “Duration of the Contest”).

1) ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to all residents of Quebec who are of the age of majority (18 years old) on August 31, 2015, with the exception of employees, representatives, and agents of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, its advertising and promotional agencies, and suppliers of prizes, material or services related to the Contest, as well as members of their immediate families (father, mother, brothers, sisters, children), their legal or de facto spouses, and any persons with whom these employees, representatives, and agents are domiciled (the “Participants”).

2) HOW TO ENTER

To enter and have a chance at winning the Contest, visit the website http://www.btmm.qc.ca/Activities, and complete the form to subscribe to the newsletter. You have until September 15, 2015 at midnight, Eastern Daylight Time (12:00 am, EDT), to enter.

3) NUMBER OF ENTRIES

Each Participant is eligible for one entry for having completed and submitted the subscription form for the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal’s newsletter. The chances of winning depend on the number of Participants who enter over the Duration of the Contest.

4) THE PRIZE

The Contest winner will be awarded $1,000 in credit applicable on activities in the 2015-2016 season. The prize must be accepted as described in these Contest Rules, and cannot be transferred to another individual or exchanged for cash. In the event that—for reasons beyond its control and unrelated to the winner—the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal is unable to award the prize as described in these Contest Rules, it reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award a prize of the same nature and of equal value.

5) AWARDING AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIZE

On September 30, 2015 at noon, Eastern Daylight Time (12:00 pm, EDT), one name will be drawn at random from among all entries received between August 31, 2015 and September 15, 2015 at midnight, Eastern Daylight Time (12:00 am, EDT). In order to be declared a winner, the person whose name appears on the entry form must:

  • Meet the eligibility requirements and all other Contest conditions
  • Be reached by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal within the fifteen (15) business days following the drawing of the entry form

and

  • Complete and sign a declaration and release form sent by email, and return it to the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal within the fifteen (15) business days following its receipt

If the potential winner does not meet any one of the above-mentioned conditions by the established deadline, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal reserves the right to proceed with another random drawing to choose another winner from among the Participants.
Once the duly completed and signed declaration and release form is received, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal will contact the winner by telephone to inform him or her of how to take possession of the prize.

6) GENERAL CONDITIONS

Entry forms are subject to verification by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. All fraudulent entries or entries received past the deadline will automatically be rejected and will not be eligible for the random drawing. Decisions made by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal in this regard are final and without appeal. The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal reserves the right to disqualify any individual and to cancel the entry of any person participating in this Contest or attempting to participate using means that violate these rules or that are unfair to other Participants. This person may be directed to the competent judicial authorities. Decisions of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal in this matter are final and without appeal. The winner will be required to sign a declaration and release form, releasing the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, its advertising and promotion agencies, its employees, representatives, and agents (collectively called the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any damages, of any nature, that may result from acceptance and use of the prize. The winner agrees, prior to receiving the prize, to sign a declaration to this effect in the form of a declaration and release form. The Releasees accept no liability for the poor functioning of any computer component, software or means of communication, for the loss or absence of a communications network, or for any data transmission that is deficient, incomplete, unintelligible, or deleted by any computer or network, and which may limit the chances of any person, or prevent any person from entering the Contest.
The Releasees may not be held liable for damages or losses that may result, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from uploading any software, and from the transmission of any information relating to entering the Contest. By entering or attempting to enter this Contest, Participants release the Releasees from all liability for damages that may result from their participation or attempted participation in the Contest. In accepting the prize, the winner consents to having his or her name, photographs, images, place of residence, and voice used for advertising purposes regarding the Contest for an unlimited period, without further compensation. The winner may be required to sign a declaration to this effect. The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, should an event or any human intervention corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality, or normal running of the Contest. Personal information gathered about the Participants in the context of this Contest will be used by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal solely for the administration of this Contest and for internal use. No communications, commercial or otherwise, unrelated to this Contest will be sent to Participants, unless they have otherwise authorized the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal to do so.

For the purposes of these Contest Rules, the Participant is the person whose information appears on the entry form. This is the person to whom the prize will be awarded if he or she is declared a winner.

Any litigation regarding the organization or conduct of a publicity contest in Quebec may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie solely for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
