The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal honours twelve secondary-school students
Montreal, May 22, 2002 - Twelve Secondary V and vocational education students from Montreal school boards and private educational institutions today received an Outstanding Student Award 2002 from the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. The award ceremony took place during the final business luncheon of the season, at which explorer and lecturer Bernard Voyer was guest speaker.
For the past twenty years, the Board of Trade has organized an annual competition to reward the excellence of our young people in the following four categories: Arts, Social Sciences/Languages, Science/Mathematics, and Vocational Education. The gold, silver, and bronze medallists receive a palmtop computer, a gold, silver, or bronze plaque, as well as scholarships of $1,000, $700, and $300 respectively.

The Board of Trade wishes to congratulate the winners as well as the 73 finalists in the 20th edition of this annual contest. These young people have demonstrated competencies and creativity, and their talent reflects well on the family members and teachers who have influenced them. They are fine representatives of the younger generation.
