Montréal, September 20, 2013 – On the day of the official launch of the election campaign, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal would like to offer the business community and the public a unique, interactive tool for tracking news on the priority economic issues in Montréal’s mayoral election.
“Many issues that are critical for our city’s future will be discussed in the coming weeks,” said Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. “They deserve our full attention. This is why we will stay at the heart of the action, and we encourage you, every day from now until November 3, to follow what the candidates have to propose and what the media have to say about it, all with a single click.”
In the spring, the Board of Trade identified four economic issues the next mayor should focus on to help Montréal regain its former glory: governance, the business environment, transportation and major projects, and the city’s image.
