Montréal, April 28, 2016 – The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal is delighted with this morning’s announcement by Bombardier that Delta Air Lines is ordering 75 CS100 aircraft, with an option for 50 more. After Air Canada’s intention to purchase announced in February, this agreement is yet another show of confidence for the C Series from a major, reputable player in air transportation.

“The Board of Trade would like to congratulate Bombardier and its management for winning this major contract, which will push C Series orders well over the 300 aircraft mark,” said Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade. “This agreement is great news not only for one of our flagships, but also for the entire city’s economy, because it will make it possible to support more jobs both within the company and with suppliers. The C Series project will create up to 12,500 high-quality, high-paying jobs in Canada.”

“Bombardier is a major corporation whose activities are central to an important ecosystem for Quebec and Montréal, Michel Leblanc said. “This order consolidates the supply chain of over 1,000 suppliers across Canada.”
